Why Choose Caledon Elementary Academy

  • Project-Based Learning

At Caledon Elementary Academy, we embrace project-based learning to foster critical thinking and creativity. Through interdisciplinary projects that integrate all subjects, students actively apply their knowledge while developing essential skills. They practice public speaking, oral communication, and collaboration, while engaging in hands-on problem solving. This approach encourages teamwork, deepens their understanding of core concepts, and helps them become confident, well-rounded learners who are prepared to tackle real-world challenges.

  • Balanced Education

At Caledon Elementary Academy, we provide a strong academic foundation with a focus on core subjects including English, math, science, social studies, and French. Our rigorous curriculum challenges students to think critically, solve problems, and build confidence in their learning.

Complementing our academic program is an exciting and diverse elective offering that allows students to explore new interests and develop practical skills. Every 8 weeks, students choose 2 electives from 4 rotating options—such as cooking, woodworking, LEGO engineering, cartooning, sewing, marketing, and graphic design. These experiences encourage creativity, foster independence, and help students discover their unique passions.

By combining strong academics with engaging electives, we offer a well-rounded education that supports the whole child—academically, creatively, and personally.

  • Small Class Sizes

At Caledon Elementary Academy, our commitment to a 10:1 student-teacher ratio sets us apart. With smaller class sizes, every child receives more personalized attention, tailored instruction, and meaningful support. This environment allows teachers to truly know their students—how they learn, what motivates them, and how best to help them thrive. Smaller classes also foster stronger relationships, increased participation, and a more focused, supportive atmosphere where students feel seen, heard, and empowered to succeed.
